1.1 Our Purpose
Flip & Find is an online marketplace that connects buyers and sellers to trade second-hand goods. We provide hosting services, facilitate transactions, and offer additional features to enhance your experience. We do not buy or sell items ourselves and are not a party to any transaction between users.

1.2 Who We Are

2. Definitions

• Buyer: A user who purchases or intends to purchase an item on the Site.
• Seller: A user who lists or sells an item on the Site.
• Item: A second-hand good listed for sale on the Site.
• Catalogue: The electronic collection of items available for sale on the Site.
• Transaction: The agreement between a Buyer and Seller to exchange an Item for payment via the Site.
• Buyer Protection: A paid service offered to Buyers to secure transactions, detailed in Section 6.

3. Using the Site

3.1 Eligibility
To use the Site, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent if under 18;
• Be a resident of South Africa;
• Have the legal capacity to enter into transactions.

3.2 Account Registration
You must create an account to buy or sell on the Site. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your account secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

3.3 Acceptance of Terms
By clicking "Accept" during registration or using the Site, you agree to these Terms and any updates we notify you of.

4. Your Responsibilities

4.1 Sellers

• You may list Items for sale free of charge.
• Items must be accurately described, including any defects, and comply with our Catalogue Rules.
• You must own the Item and have the right to sell it.
• Prohibited Items include illegal goods, counterfeit products, or anything listed in our Catalogue Rules as restricted.

4.2 Buyers

• You agree to pay for Items purchased via the Site’s payment system.
• Review Item descriptions carefully before buying, as Sellers are responsible for accuracy.

4.3 General Conduct

• Do not misuse the Site, including posting false information or engaging in fraudulent activity.
• Respect other users and comply with South African law.

5. Transactions

5.1 How It Works

• Sellers list Items in the Catalogue.
• Buyers purchase Items using the "Buy Now" button, initiating a Transaction.
• Payments are processed securely via our third-party payment provider PayFast.
• Sellers ship Items using our Integrated Shipping System where applicable.

5.2 Fees

• Listing Items is free for Sellers.
• Buyers pay a Buyer Protection fee (3-8% of the Item price plus R5-R15) per Transaction for added security.
• Shipping costs are displayed at checkout.

5.3 Completion

• Once the Buyer confirms receipt and satisfaction (or after 2 days if no issues are reported), payment is released to the Seller, minus applicable fees.

6. Buyer Protection

6.1 What It Covers
Buyer Protection ensures refunds if:

• An Item doesn’t arrive;
• An Item is damaged in transit;
• An Item is significantly not as described.

6.2 Process

• Report issues within 2 days of delivery via the Site.
• Provide evidence (e.g., photos) to support your claim.
• We’ll review and decide based on the evidence provided.

6.3 Limitations
Buyer Protection does not cover dissatisfaction due to unmet expectations not specified in the listing.

7. Shipping

7.1 Integrated Shipping
Where available, Sellers must use our prepaid shipping labels. Shipping is handled by third-party providers, subject to their terms.

7.2 Responsibility

• Sellers must package Items securely.
• Buyers must provide accurate delivery details.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of content you upload (e.g., photos, descriptions) but grant us a non-exclusive license to use it for Site operations and promotion.

8.2 Our Rights
The Flip & Find name, logo, and Site content are our property or licensed to us. You may not use them without permission.

9. Liability Limitations

9.1 Our Role
We are not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of Items or the conduct of users. Transactions are between Buyers and Sellers.

9.2 Disclaimers
The Site is provided "as is." We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free operation.

9.3 Limitation
Our liability is limited to the extent permitted by South African law, excluding gross negligence or willful misconduct.

10. Termination

10.1 By You
You may delete your account at any time via the Site settings.

10.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms, with notice where feasible.

10.3 Effect
Termination does not affect ongoing Transactions, which must be completed.

11. Disputes

11.1 Between Users
Resolve disputes directly with the other party. We may assist but are not obligated to intervene.

11.2 With Us

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms and will notify you via email or the Site. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
